We’re moving away from OTK. I find it hard to support a chassis that is always advertised as “weld in the normal place” and snapped a yoke within 10 meetings.
We’ve seen the RS go well at Llandow, but we’re giving a few a thought.

I see the seat support is a constant point of issues? Maybe a chassis that has jumped many curbs or it is infact a weak point? OTK is a big brand and parts are readily available as you know, which is what draws me in tbh.

Seat support, bearing hanger, front yoke. Not sure what they’re using to join the chassis together but it’s evidently not very strong

Have you thought about an MS Kart?
Fast & very strong and not as expensive as a green or red kart..... contact Jack Dex Racing he has new chassis or lightly used.

Indeed! I know the 2019 chassis had come very minor changes over it's older brother, however I wonder if they solved any of the issues you have highlighted?

Oh dear, putting me off OTK now! :cry: How long do you guys run before getting it put on a jig? Of course all being well and no crashes etc.

OTKs are soft so we would jig all the time and then replace frames regularly, wouldn’t get away with one for the year if you want to be in the mix.....

Really? :LOL: I don't remember it being like that when I was a young lad. Maybe I do indeed need to look into other options.

Pretty much because it wasn’t like that 30 years ago. Whilst there were teams etc about it wasn’t as prevalent as it is now and there was no need to jig things that often.
I remember Cadets in the 80s having the odd large amount of cash being thrown at motors but we’re getting obscene amounts of money being asked for water pump motors now because parents want Little Johnny to be the next Hamilton... 😂

We were at Whilton mill for the annual winter cup, our very first race for Lucas and it was a jam packed grid for the Honda Cadets with 33 karts in the grid. He drove well but was pushed and banged about in the pre final which dented his confidence for the final and it showed with his driving.

Good morning experience gained though to take into 2020 championship at Shenington, kart is now stripped ready for its rebuild and engine being sent to RPM to find some extra power if possible
