If u make the maintenance
Trips to and from tracks fun

Then on the track will be fun

Practise is practise not a race

Tech side of things? Where will you be driving? Are you planning to race to just do the odd test days?

Just the odd test day for me but my boy wants to race so just getting a starting point see where we end up hopefully not an A+E DEPARTMENT

You'll be fine if you're both sensible and take the safety side of things seriously. Pop down the local track on race day and see what classes are popular. You will more than likely end up with Rotax or X30.

There will always be somebody local that can sort you out with a test day I'm sure too. Just to give you a taste and a starting experience before you take things further.
