Technical Rotax pre evo radiator flap

I am very new to owner driver karting

What is the use of the flap that goes over the top part of the radiator?. someone did tell me that you need to adjust this on warm up/ running of the kart.

As stated on the other post the flap is to get the engine into its ideal temperature window quicker. At th3 moment you'll probably need to add some tape also and then once you hit 50 degrees lift the flap to try and keep it around that.

In the summer you'll most likely run it open all the time, make sense?
