Hello, I’m new here,
I’m not new to Karting I raced many years ago.

Just picked up a 2022 rotax max senior evo package and just went to start it and the coil has basically burnt out ?

Battery was connected correctly etc so I’m really confused?

Ouch! Either an incorrect connection or a faulty unit?

Contact who you bought it from?

Replacement part.

Yea I have just unfortunately after putting another coil on it’s still not sparking. Having to drive to Pf next week to hopefully get it sorted.

Was just wondering if anyone knew or seen similar on here.

Hmm I have never heard or seen it happen tbh. All the Evo stuff is very robust it seems.

I assume you doubled checked all connections etc? Battery terminals connected in the correct way? Tried a different plug?

Does anyone know what the ohms reading should be around for the rotax max evo coil.
I need values with HT lead and plug and also with HT lead removed just on coil.

Thanks in advance

No clue! Did you manage to find the cause of this?
