Hello
We will be travelling from Cornwall to Guildford in the next few days and was wondering if anyone knows or can recommend an actual physical shop we could stop by to look at/try on/purchase a racing suit etc for our son along the way...we've obviously seen items online but I know he would like to go and browse.
Thomas, or Tom at karting! is 10 1/2yrs and is doing exceptionally well, in September he is joining the single engine club early after 2yrs as a junior. He is part of the racing club at coast2coast karting at Hayle in Cornwall. The clubs pause during the summer as it gets really with tourists but Tom still attends to race those tourists! Yesterday he was up against 9 others, he started 7th went straight to 3rd using his racing start knowledge and came in 1st having lapped about 4 of them due to his consistent racing lines, weight shifting and overtaking skill. He also achieved his best lap time yet, 56.9 secs and got fastest lap of the whole day...I think watching Le Mans 66 the day before may have been going around in his head too as he was flying!
In the next year we are hoping, as a club to look at taking a few of the drivers to events, unfortunately everything from Cornwall is quite a trek and the council are quite strict on activity at the couple of tracks here so we will have to travel quite a bit to support Tom's progress, but we will do all we can for him as parents.
Having had a look around on the forum it seems you could all be a wealth of knowledge and support on his journey ๐
