I have not run my karts yet as I only picked them up last Tuesday, however I have now been up to my local track @ Karting North East Warden Law, and watched both the Wednesday evening and Sunday morning owner sessions. Iโ€™m feeling like I have made. Massive mistake buying a kart, its all race vans and gazebos and for a new owner all looks a bit intimidation to rock up with an old pro kart.

I do trackdays in my Westfield and have no problems turning up to a new circuit and getting stuck in. I just feel Iโ€™m intruding into something I shouldnโ€™t!

No need to feel like that at all Andrew! Though I do understand where you are coming from. It can all be a bit daunting seeing all the big sheds turn up.

You'll find some people turn up in a car with the kart on a roof rack. Some people will turn up in a 100k race truck! The sport is open too all and everybody in my opinion.

You'll find most people in the pits all too keen to help and advise where they can, regardless of the level they wish to take part in the sport at.

You'll find money in every sport, but you don't need to throw loads into Karting to have fun. It's an entry level sport for ALL of us. Choose your entry point and budget for what you can afford with comfort. Progress if you feel the need to.

Get the Kart down the track, find some fellow pro kart drivers and have some fun! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

I'd not worry yourself with what the other drivers are doing...everyone of them had to start somewhere right?
The main thing is that you are driving safely and are aware of your surroundings which if you have done track time in a car you will be.
The fast drivers will simply go where you arnt and be gone as quickly as they came..
Your find most of the karting community to be very friendly...
Weekdays are alot quieter if your looking for a more empty track.
It's all about the fun... welcome to karting!
