Hello Newbie posting here. I've been looking at a seemingly decent 2nd-hand chassis for my son. The only issue is it has a welded repair where the seat strut/support meets the main frame. Is this a normal issue/repair i.e. nothing to worry about or should I be cautious about this when choosing a chassis?

I'll take an educated guess and guess that it's a Tonykart or a derivative of that?

Hi there, it's a Kart Republic KR2. Otherwise it's clean and in good condition.

If the weld has been done well and the chassis is straight then you should be OK.

The reason I mentioned the OTK was that they're known for it. I've heard that the KRs are quick, but I've heard of a few over the past couple of weeks that have cracked.

Thanks for the info. That’s good to know. I’ll have another look at it.
