Hello I have set up this account for me and my dad. I'm looking at getting into karting ,I'm trying to find out about the different classes and what sort of kart to buy.

I'm 12 years old and quite tall so I think I would be better off getting a Junior kart rather than a Cadet.

Any help or guidance would be great .

Thanks, Sam + Dan

Hi there,
Where abouts (roughly) are you in the country?
Junior TKM (Two stroke) would be a good starting point.
There are loads of clubs around, my son (also 12) is curently doing the NATSKA Championship, This is a grass roots entry level competition, that is VERY affordable to get started in (Entry fees are generally around ÂŖ60 per event). Last weekend we were out and there was a gris of 17 karts, all with varying ability.
I'd be happy to discuss this further with your dad...........

Firstly check out your local club..find out what classes they run...
For example down here in the southeast there's junior subaru or junior rotax.... some may run junior X30 or TKM ...
Once you know what your local tracks run you can then look into what engine to choose. All of the above are adult size full size chassis.
