Hello my name is Alex I'm new to the world of go karts. My son turned 6 a few months ago and is really wanting to get into karting what would be the steps needed to be taken for him to learn, practice and hopefully compete and getting him into his own kart.

Regards

get him karting in these for a bit, he will learn the basics and get some experiense. from there you can get him a kart.

It really depends how quickly he wants to get into it. Daytona is a cheap, local and easy introduction. Then there's Rookie Racing, look them up on facebook and their website. They run evenings and days at midlands tracks where you can hire the kart for the day etc, they'll provide support also.

Google kart clubs, kart tracks and look at the ABKC websites and find a local track and go along and have a chat on a race weekend etc.....but be careful as there are hundreds of experts at a kart track, take any advice with a pinch of salt, go away, research and make your decision.
