Hi everyone. I have a mychron 5. I used it last weekend in the rain and the screen went misty with condensation. The unit has since refused to turn on. Has anyone else suffered this? Does anyone know if it's repairable and who might do it? Could rain have killed battery (it seems to charge), or the unit itself?

If it was mine I would take the covers off and put all the components including the battery in a container of rice to dry out for a few days! Hopefully once it's dry it will be ok.

I believe you are meant to use the caps on the outlets which you are not using.

I have used these since day one and have had no issues using the Mychron 5S in the rain!

If not I think @MattHildred26 refurbs them?

Thanks Jason. I've used it twice in the rain. The first time it misted but cleared Iver a week or so. This time I've cleared it in the house but power hasn't returned....!

Defo get it in some rice and get it dried out. Then cross your fingers!
