"Junior x30 driver Morgan Moore has been named the Wera Tools Driver of the Day from Event 5 of the 2023 British Kart Championships, at Shenington.
Moore was nominated by the panel of judges, along with a driver from each of the remaining classes thanks to their on-track performance, sporting act or overcoming adversity. Each karter was in line to scoop the coveted Wera Tools Trophy and Wera Tools prizes, whilst Motorsport UK will supplement the prize with a free test day at a BKC venue in 2023 or 2024. The winner was decided by a public online poll.
The judges nominated the youngster at the weekend, commenting: “The young Irishman left Shenington with his first top 5 in Junior X30 having started Sundays racing 23rd on the grid in the pre final following heat finishes of 21st and 12th. Gaining 7 places in the pre final, Moore then gained a further 11 places in the final to go from 16th to 5th in the main event”
Moore will be presented with his trophy at the next round of the IAME season.
