Hi all

fairly new to Karting so I’m after some advice please. We bought my son a mini max kart and although he’s 13 left the exhaust restrictor in just to build his confidence up. He’s now comfortable in the kart so I would like to remove the exhaust restrictor and fit the new junior one we already have. This is a pre Evo engine so it’s currently running a 142 main jet. With me now Fitting the new exhaust Flange could anyone point me in the right direction roughly on what I will need to do with the jetting etc. I know jetting is subject to a lot of different things etc but a ball park safe number would be great. For info it does not have any throttle restrictor in it.

thanks

Danny

Try 121 to 128 or settle around 124

It’s a pre Evo engine so I think the jetting is a lot higher then Evo due to different carb

Your right. I didn't read that bit. No idea then sorry

The jet labs app on apple and android will give you a good idea tbf! Always a good starting point.
