News Micro & Mini Changes For 2024

"MICRO & MINI CHANGES FOR 2024
Following discussions with Rotax Service centres, Customers, Motorsport UK and external stakeholders – JAG are pleased to confirm the roadmap and timeline for the technical specs for the Mini and Micro Classes for the UK in 2024.
Global regs will be followed as near as possible although some parts do not meet U.K criteria, check with Jag Rotax Technical Regulations 2024
The Mini Max class will follow the 2024 Global regulations, using the Mojo C2 Slick tyre and a fixed gearing of 13 x 80 (wet and dry) for all tracks from 01/01/24.
The Micro Class will see a new inlet and or exhaust restrictor created which will be an evolution of the current red inlet restrictor and exhaust manifold, testing is underway and we are aiming to have the new restrictions available from (1st March 2024).
Micro Max will also have fixed gearing of 14 x 80 (wet and dry) for all tracks. Tyres for Micro Max will remain as per Motorsport U.K Cadet class and an announcement for this will be made in the coming days.
From January 1st 2024 until t.b.c date the technical regulations for the Micro Max class will remain unchanged to offer stability to the class and adequate testing time for the new RESTRICTOR/S.
For Micro Max cadet class Rotax, Jag and M.S.U.K intend to introduce a fixed term for binding regulations without change (fixed term to be confirmed).
β€œBy adjusting the method we control the speed in both Mini and Micro classes by using gearing and restrictors will now enable us to remove the throttle stop restriction and make both classes much more user friendly and improve both driving experience and make the class easier for parents and mechanics.
