General Looking for a reasonable Kart championship/race.

I have been karting on test days with my Trulli JT3 chassis and what I think is the first generation rotax engine (pre evo). I want to get into some races however I do not have the money really to upgrade to an evo engine, much less a newer chassis. I have been searching for some championship or even a one off race that will allow me to be competitive with this engine and old chassis. Is there such series here in the UK? or is the only option to enter races which would put me in the same class as evo engines. Thanks in advance.
