Hello,
I am interested in what changes can be made to the standard Junior rotax engine and drive system. Can you use higher quality sprockets and chains, plugs, air filter systems. Is this against racing rules and are there any specialist suppliers that make bespoke components. What changes do people make to improve performance?

You can do what you want (to a degree) for practice, but racing is more controlled on what you can do or use. Have a look at the technical regs for the class at the track / competition you want to race in. Sprockets and chains are whatever size work best for you. Plugs/spacing and air filter/carb are generally locked down. Jetting is open but again, it depends what works best for the barometrics / meteorological conditions on any given day. It's trial and error at each track, which is what free/open practice is for.
