Hey all, I’ve been getting into club-level karting (I’m based in London) and have been looking at different tracks nearby that I could potentially race at. I’ve heard from people that club champs at Rye House is poorly run and the track is generally not as well maintained/standard of racing worse than other more well-known tracks such as Buckmore, GYG, PFI, Clay Pigeon etc. I was wondering if there was any truth to this or was it just salesmen trying to get me to race at their tracks? If anyone has had any experiences I would love to hear from you guys thank you!

Rye House is OK to start if they do a class you want to race in. It's a small track with not much run off. You can't compare it to the likes of Buckmore, GYG, PFI etc. Not raced there in years so cant really comment on how it's run now etc.

Your main decider should be which track does the class you want to race in as if it's prokart that will mean you have to look at possibly different tracks to TKM etc.

Hey thanks for your reply! In terms of racing and tracks to build skill which ones near London would you recommend? Got a Rotax so luckily have a larger choice of tracks but anw am unlikely to be doing races this year as I'm miles off pace I reckon so might try to take the year out to practice and hopefully build speed.
