I was sent here via another Forum as I collect mini Bikes.
I have a pair of Canadian imported Baja Dirt Bugs, now one is going to be original and the other is having its 98CC engine removed and replaced with a GX160 clone.
The problem I have is the Clone engines have a 20mm output shaft but the cheap centrifugal clutches are 3/4" or 19mm. So I need a cheap 20mm bore centrifugal clutch as I dont really want to remove the crank and turn it down
So any top tips?
Heres an original one.
They are cheap but rare in the UK massive following in the US.

Found this on ebay? It says 20mm bore and also runs with a 219 pitch chains.

Welcome to the forum! :)(y)

16 Tooth sprocket.
Fits a 219 chain.
20mm metric bore.
HD 219 chain clutch and sprocket set for Honda import Gokart with parallel 20mm engine drive shafts.
Locates onto a standard 3/16'' key way using the pre fitted woodruff key.
Standard anti clockwise centrifugal operation engaging around 1700 rpm / can work in either direction.
Fits the wide range of import clone engines used in Gokarts and Buggies normally on 5.5hp or 6.5hp GX160 GX200 engine styles.

Thanks but I need a bit nearer to 12 Teeth
This is what I have now
The price difference is amazing!
I suppose it all depends quality but its often difficult to tell

Hmm there are others, but it seems they are not in the UK and are a different pitch chain?

Edit: The only other thing I can think of is contact Lee at Next Karting. Lee has a wicked little workshop, he may be able to machine you a 19mm bore clutch into a 20mm bore clutch!

Thanks
WE have a lathe but there is very little left on the 19mm not really enough to bore it out, I was thinking of removing the crank and machining it from 20 to 19

To be fair, after looking online that would make things a whole lot easier it seems when it comes down to finding a clutch assembly 👌

I know I was just hoping some one may have a quick and easy idea, it seems strange all the cheap ones ar 19mm?
But its not worth paying over the odds for one, I will just turn the crank down

A small update. Too many projects are in the way but the Bug is next. I did find a 20mm clutch but it would mean changing the sprockets and chain, so after a bit go Googling I have just bought a Hyundai 6.5 HP engine GX160 clone from B&Q of all places for £80 delivered, which I feel is a bargain and should save me some work
