Hi everyone.

This is my first post on the karting forum so want to say hello to everyone. I've recently been introduced to karting and loved it so wanted to join the forum.

Less than two weeks ago I did two midweek sessions with friends using my local tracks rental karts. We had awesome fun. So much so that I've bought my own go kart now which I really no nothing about. Hopefully I'll discover more about it on here.

All I know is it's 100cc, the engine says IAME on the top where the spark plug goes and the plastics have Gillard stickers on them. I don't know anything about the frame or any other parts but I'll be investigating all of this soon. Here's some photos I've taken already.

Does anyone know what the name of the IAME 100cc with a blue top on it is called? I've seen Formula Blue mentioned online when I've been researching but I believe that's an actual karting class and maybe isn't the name of the engine.

Anyway hi everyone I look forward to reading the posts on this forum :)

Hey welcome to the forum! 🏁 :)

]I think the engine is an Iame Lynx Blue top 100cc. The 115cc varient was a Maxi which was a green top? I think the mordern equivalent is an X30.

Chassis is probally around 2006/2008?

Sorry I don't personally know more!

You'll find various tutorials here:

And maybe a new track here:

Hi Jordan,
Welcome to the forum. You can learn a hell of a lot in the first few months of being a Karting newbie as I've found out at my cost. I thought it was as simple as just going out and buying a Kart. Well,... no, especially if you're buying someone else's old set up. I dont know much about the Iame engines, we've opted for Rotax having initially bought a TKM Direct Drive engine!! Huge mistake as there are no otjer competitors in our area racing TKM Direct Drives!!! Still learning, but getting better, so id be glad to help or discuss anything to help you going forward.
Good luck

Paul.
