Technical Engine change

Hi. New to Karting, can you help please. Can I put a Honda GX270 engine into a Stratos Honda GX160 Go Kart. Thank You.

Just joined the group,
Gx160 and gx200 share the same foot print, buy a clone gx, slap the gx 160 head on it, an offset key to sort out ignition timing and have fun

Can i remove the restricter in the gx160
And safely use it for practice and will the engine run and be okay?

No point, test on the same as what your racing. Not the same best engine but same spec
