Technical Dry / Wet Tyres and Set up - Junior Rotax

Hi
Can anyone help, i am in Junior Rotax and wondering the different set up to have for dry and wet.

Also i have wet tyres on OTK rims but not sure when someone asks me if wet rims ?

What is the difference between wet rims and dry rims ? are they different dimensions / sizes ?

Dry rims will generally be full magnesium or half magnesium, dependent on track temperature. This is to allow the heat to dissipate and to ensure that the tyres do not overheat.

Wet rims are normally made out of aluminium, which helps to generate heat in the tyre on a cold/wet track.

Sizes will be dependent on chassis/set up/class etc. If it's a Tonykart then dry rims are generally 130mm Fronts and 210mm rears. Wet rims can differ dependent on whether you're looking at "mildly moist" or "torrential downpour" but you'll be looking in the ballpark of 120mm fronts and 180mm rears.

Aluminium look like shiny metal. Magnesium ones can come in a variety of colours. Pop a picture up and someone will be able to tell you....

Otk wets are powder coated as well. Should ebay stamped I think maybe
AXPs are wets aren't they?
