"Following the publication of the Rotax Euro dates, it became clear that further consideration was required to ensure that drivers and teams from Europe and the UK could travel in appropriate time in order to attend some Wera Tools British Kart Championship events. While we appreciate that this may only affect a small portion of our drivers, it does have a wider impact on some stakeholders and officials involved in the Championship.
We thank everyone in advance for their understanding of this situation, which has been completely out of our control. Motorsport UK would also like to thank WSK for its cooperation in adjusting some of their dates to accommodate British drivers and teams. We also extend our thanks to the teams for their assistance and cooperation throughout this challenging process, as they worked with us and other Championships to align dates.
Changes as follows:
Whilton Mill (Rotax/T4): Will now take place from 28-30 August, moving back by one day to finish on a Saturday.
Larkhall (Rotax/Honda): Will now be moved to 4-6 July.
Motorsport UK had its dates published and circulated to Championship organisers in good time. While we do not like making adjustments after publication, in this case, we feel it is necessary to do so in the interest of those who may be affected.
Motorsport UK is committed to supporting the interests of our drivers, teams, and stakeholders. While we strive to maintain consistency in our scheduling, we believe these adjustments are essential to accommodate those affected by the overlapping dates. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we work together to deliver a successful Championship season.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to sharing news on our timeline for the opening of registrations shortly."
