This statement is to confirm that Round 2 of the Rissington Kart Club Championship which had been scheduled for April 4th & 5th has been cancelled, with the championship being placed on hold until further notice.
Motorsport UK announced they will be suspending all organising permits, and certificates of exemption until at least 30th April 2020. These permits are a requirement to organise a race meeting.
These are challenging unprecedented times for everyone within: Motorsport, UK and the World. Motorsport UK has Rissington Kart Club's full support on the decision that has been made. It has been a difficult one for all parties involved.
This has been a concerning crisis developing worldwide rapidly, it has put ourselves on high alert, planning for every eventuality no matter how big or small, to ensure the safety of all at the circuit is not hampered in anyway.
Moving forwards we will be making further decisions depending on UK Government and Motorsport UK instructions. Everyone here at Rissington would like to see racing continue, but actions must be taken. We will ensure that everyone is updated when we have the green light from both the UK Government and Motorsport UK to begin racing again.

We look forward to seeing you all at the circuit as soon as possible!
