Hi,
My son has a project one cadet kart with a Tillett T5 CL sized seat.
He’s quite short. Even though he can reach the pedals a steering I feel he could do with moving forward a bit.
Is it as simple as unbolting and re-drilling the seat an inch forward or will the extra holes make it weaker or inbalanced etc? Iv added an image so you can see his seating position.
Thanks

The seat should be in the position suggested by the manufacturer for correct handling characteristics etc.

If he has trouble reaching the wheel/pedals at that point, you may need to invest in some pedal extenders and adjust the steering wheel or column angle to bring it closer to him.

Ok that does make sense. I didn’t think about the column position. I will look into pedal extenders too. Thanks.
