Would everything from a 900 chassis fit onto a 950

Hiya,
Everything should fit, but if you have shortened your throttle cable to get rid of extra length, or anything else like that, you might need to get a longer one.
Is there anything in specific that you are thinking about?

wanting to get son into karting but don’t really want to mess around with a bambino to then move up, so was thinking of getting a 900 to start him cause he’s quite small then get a 950 next year when can start racing, I no cables would more than likely need replacing as like said they’ll probably need cutting down for smaller chassis, would all the hubs and axle fit straight on and bodywork

Or get a 950 and a pedal kit etc so you don't lose too much next year swapping to a 950....good call going straight to cadet 👍

Looking around the internet it seems hard to find a 900 there all 950, so maybe best option is to go 950 with a peddle kit and move seat as far forward as I can mount it, looked at bambino before but would rather wait and go straight into cadet, I think he can do super one at 7 anyway so got till April to get him up to speed and hopefully he grows abit

Just go cadet and If your driver is new to it why jump in at a national race series?

Build confidence, ability and experience with club racing, start featuring at the clubs then move up to harder racing.

You've got shenington and whilton near to you And if S1 is anything like it used to be you'd do well to start at those and get some experience 1st or you'll just be making up the numbers (just my opinion of course).

I'd keep the seat where it is if you can and move the pedals and steering towards the driver so you keep the weight distribution where it should be.

Yea we got them both near us, that run club meetings but he needs to be 8 doesn’t he which isn’t until July, which is why I was looking at s1 as he can race at 7, I’ll get him as much practice as can and see where else he can enter at 7, thanks for the advice on seat, which class would be better for him, Honda or was looking at waterswift restricted, I no there’s Rotax aswell

Sheeny do an IKR meeting I think which you may be able to do at 7, rookie racing also go there, they also do pfi and there's other tracks like tattershall that will let you do cadets at 7 if the driver is good enough and safe.

As for which class, look at the tracks you're thinking of doing and see what they run. Hondas is slowly getting smaller and smaller from what I've seen. Iame waterswift and rotax are more expensive so it also depends on budgets.

If you're available on a Wednesday go to whilton as we are there most weeks and either Jack or I can run you through options.

It's race weekend next weekend at whilton so would be worth visiting.

Do you still do the hire karts at Whilton on a Wednesday we go there most meetings to watch so we’ll come speak to you

Yes but you'll need to let us know so we can prep a kart and take it with us.
Ok cool, come by and we can have a chat.
