Technical Honda Cadet Breather Bottle

My son is nearly up to pace and ready to race. I am just getting his engine up to MSUK regs and noticed that he needed a 'Engine Breather Bottle' fitted. So I got him the kit, and I know where to mount it, I just don't know where the other end of the hose goes. Is it a crank breather or something to do with the carb? Could someone please help out a newb Honda GX160, Honda Cadet. Thanks!

Make sure you drill a hole in the bottom (top when mounted) of the bottle, I found that out the hard way when oil poured out through the fuel pump because of crank case pressure

Thank you for that, I wasn’t aware of that! Any particular size drill hole?

think it's 5 or 6mm. I don't think it specifies in the R&R's just that there must be a hole to allow the engine to breathe.

Attached are pictures of the finished article, I have now added some clips around the point of the bottle where it clips in, to secure it to the air filter housing.

Great thank you! Done one day test session without it, so hopefully no damage do

How you have installed it is correct. Just drill a hole at the top so that the engine can still breathe like it was doing in to the inlet side.
