General setup: Rears all the way in? Fronts all the way out? Front torsion bar in, out? 3rd bearing in, out?

πŸ‘‡ Any advice on tyre pressures for wets (Mojo W5's) a'like please guys?

Official spec says 14psi cold? But I've heard anything from 20psi, 30psi etc?

How long is a piece of string? Definitely one of those things that needs testing to find out what works for you and your chassis. The Compkart has more front end than my Kosmic ever had so the setup for that would be different to an otk.

Basic idea is to get the rears in as much as you legally can, then have the fronts lining up with the middle of the rears. Added caster will assist with turn in. The thing you then need to do is balance the front and rear out. Too much rear grip will push the front on which some people mistake for understeer. Too much front will unsettle the rear leading to oversteer.

Tightening the axle through the third bearing, or tightening the rear bumper can help to settle the rear through the corner but again this is all stuff you'll need to test to see what works for you
.

The W5 is a good wet tyre, start around 15psi for wet and go up as the amount of standing water increases...

Thanks for the informative reply Lee! That gives me a great basline to start with and I can have a play from there.

Tyre wise a nice fella gifted me a set of worn in W5's so I know have a scrubbed in set to have a play with, just incase conditions are not....wet wet lol.

Did you ever use the longer front hubs with your OTK at all?

Yup, we'd generally have the wets on hubs ready to go so it was just then a case of removing the front and rear hubs and putting the wet hubs on. Speeds up the change a little...

So something I would definitely need to pop on my 'to get' list? As it seems standard length hubs and the front wheels spaced all the way out, is not enough?

You can do that, but it takes time. And if you're in a hurry, getting things changed over as quickly as possible is generally a good way to go....

Sorry for the late reply! All taken on board, thanks for the advice as always.

Just need a bit of rain now. Though....I'd much rather keep the sun!

Just don't mix the two... πŸ˜‰πŸ€£

Ouch!

For sure going to try and opt for that scrubbed in set I have rather than the new set, for some testing. It could get quite expensive chewing up sets of W5's like :LOL:

It was about 3 minutes of drizzle short of being the right decision. Started raining at the Llandow IKR and I was convinced it would stay around so made a list minute call to switch to wets. It didn't, but it wouldn't have taken much more rain to have made it the right decision....
